Critical Writing Workshop\, an initiative supporting the professional and critical development of emerging art writers\, researchers\, and cultural practitioners based in Lagos\, Nigeria.⁠\n⁠\nLed by current resident Olutomi Kassim (@searchforisinmi)\, this three-day intensive at G.A.S. Lagos will bring together six early-career/emerging participants for a focused programme centred on developing practical writing skills and critical approaches to engaging with art.⁠\n⁠\nThis edition will explore critical art writing practices while examining how writing can function as a tool for activism\, encouraging readers to ask questions\, challenge dominant narratives\, and engage more deeply with the social and political contexts that shape contemporary art.⁠\n⁠\n✅ Develop a clear argument\, title\, and short critical text⁠\n✅ Situate your writing within key cultural and scholarly debates⁠\n✅ Learn research methods grounded in Nigerian epistemologies (incl.
